PAULA
The PAULA is my impression of an old well-known design,
updated to better playability and a much wider range of
sounds.
Note the "slick heel" neck-body joint, a dovetail
connection like the old lutes have from the 16th century.
The body features special tap-tuned resonance areas to
support harmonics and attack.
"TheBrain" passive circuit and split options are
standard, as well as a medium scale.
FloydRose equipped PAULAs come with a long scale.
NEIL SCHON`S PAULA
this was the second Paula I made with a FloydRose
tremolo. The construction
is very different from the usual way. When you fit a FR
tremolo to a
LesPaul what happens is you´re left with a big hole
straight through the body where the
bridge pickup is. So I changed the neck angle to lower
the tremolo and keep the static
solid
and used a long scale . Gibson is now making a sort of copy of this guitar.
